| The price of your retreat does not include transportation. Due to liability issues, you are responsible for driving yourself (carpooling encouraged) to the lodge and other retreat activities. We can provide you with a list of other participants in order to carpool and share rides from the airport. Thanks for your understanding.

Ridgway is 25 miles south of Montrose on Highway 50. The closest airport to The Chipeta Sun Lodge and Spa is the Montrose Regional Airport, in Montrose Colorado. (970-249-3203) It is a 35-40 minute drive from the airport to the lodge. (See directions and regional maps below) (Other airports are listed below with travel time to Ridgway)
Directions from the Montrose Airport: (35-40 minutes)
Take a left hand turn out of the airport onto Hwy. 50 which changes to Hwy 550 at the intersection with Main Street. Keep going STRAIGHT on Hwy 550 heading south towards Ridgway and Ouray. It’s about a 35 minute drive.
Turn right onto Hwy 62 (towards Ridgway and Telluride). In Ridgway, turn left onto S. Lena Street (you will see the Mountain Market on your left). Follow Lena St. to a stop sign and you will see the Chipeta Lodge on your left with a large yellow sign that says LODGE. Continue straight and at the second stop sign take a left on Chipeta Drive. You will see the parking lot behind the building.

Directions from Denver: (6-7 hour drive over two mountain passes)
Take Hwy I-70 heading west. Once you hit Grand Junction—take the "Clifton Exit" #37. The road curves left back over the freeway, follow it to the second stop light and take a left at the "Wendy’s" onto Hwy 141 towards Delta, this takes you to Hwy 50. When you reach Hwy. 50, turn left towards Delta and Montrose. In Montrose, Hwy. 50 changes to Hwy 550 at the intersection with Main Street, continue straight all the way to the Ridgway turn off onto Hwy 62.
Turn right onto Hwy 62 (towards Ridgway and Telluride). In Ridgway, turn left onto S. Lena Street (you will see the Mountain Market on your left). Follow Lena St. to a stop sign and you will see the Chipeta Lodge on your left with a large yellow sign that says LODGE. Continue straight and at the second stop sign take a left on Chipeta Drive. You will see the parking lot behind the building. It is about a six hour drive from Denver to Ridgway.
Directions from Durango: (2 hour drive over two major mountain passes)
Take Hwy 550 over Coal Bank, past Silverton and over Red Mountain Pass. Go through Ouray and continue ten miles to the turn off to Ridgway and Telluride on Hwy 62.
Turn left onto Hwy 62 (towards Ridgway and Telluride). In Ridgway, turn left onto S. Lena Street (you will see the Mountain Market on your left). Follow Lena St. to a stop sign and you will see the Chipeta Lodge on your left with a large yellow sign that says LODGE. Continue straight and at the second stop sign take a left on Chipeta Drive. You will see the parking lot behind the building.
Directions from Cortez: (2 hour drive over one mountain pass)
From Cortez, take Hwy 145 over Lizard Head Pass heading toward Telluride, take a left away from Telluride and continue on 145 heading west. Take a right onto Hwy 62 towards Ridgway.
In Ridgway, turn right onto S. Lena Street (you will see the Mountain Market on your right). Follow Lena St. to a stop sign and you will see the Chipeta Lodge on your left with a large yellow sign that says LODGE. Continue straight and at the second stop sign take a left on Chipeta Drive. You will see the parking lot behind the building.
From Salt Lake and the West: (6 hours from Salt Lake, highway driving)
Take Hwy. I-70 east to Grand Junction. Take the exit to Hwy. 50 towards Delta and Montrose.(it’s just after the Fruita Exit) In Montrose, Hwy. 50 changes to Hwy 550 at the intersection with Main Street. Keep going STRAIGHT on Hwy 550 heading south to Ridgway and Telluride.
Turn right onto Hwy 62 (towards Ridgway and Telluride). In Ridgway turn left onto S. Lena Street (you will see the Mountain Market on your left). From the Grand Junction Airport: (2 hour drive, highway driving)
Take Highway I-70 West. Get off at the Highway 50 to Montrose, Delta, Telluride and head south on 50. It goes straight all the way towards Ridgway. In downtown Montrose, Hwy 50 turns to 550…just keep going straight on 550. From this point, it’s about 35 minutes to Ridgway.
Turn right onto Hwy 62 (towards Ridgway and Telluride). In Ridgway, turn left onto S. Lena Street (you will see the Mountain Market on your left). Follow Lena St. to a stop sign and you will see the Chipeta Lodge on your left with a large yellow sign that says LODGE. Continue straight and at the second stop sign take a left on Chipeta Drive. From Gunnison Airport: (2 hour drive, highway driving, winding road)
Take highway 50 west toward Montrose. In Montrose turn left onto highway 550 heading towards Telluride, Ouray and Ridgway. Take 550 to Ridgway.
Turn right onto Hwy 62 (towards Ridgway and Telluride). In Ridgway, turn left onto S. Lena Street (you will see the Mountain Market on your left). Follow Lena St. to a stop sign and you will see the Chipeta Lodge on your left with a large yellow sign that says LODGE. Continue straight and at the second stop sign take a left on Chipeta Drive. From the Telluride Airport: (1 hour drive, winding mountain road)
This airport is a little more unpredictable due to weather – you will be landing above 8,000 feet. From the airport head straight (right) to highway 142, turn right (heading away from the town of Telluride). Go through Placerville and Sawpit. Turn right onto highway 62 to Ridgway.
In Ridgway turn right onto S. Lena Street (you will see the Mountain Market on your right). Follow Lena St. to a stop sign and you will see the Chipeta Lodge on your left with a large yellow sign that says LODGE. Continue straight and at the second stop sign take a left on Chipeta Drive. You will see the parking lot behind the building.
