Sample Itinerary

In the Himalaya regions, mountains are considered the thrones of the Gods. High places inspire a journey inwards; one of growth, change and self-exploration. This retreat thoughtfully combines the elements of mind, body and spirit.  We will take an intentional approach to exploring our physical limits, being mind-full of each experience and igniting the spark within us.  This will be a spiritual journey into our heart and soul without being “religious”.  At Mind Over Mountains, we honor individual interpretations and beliefs within our unique paths.

We use the mountains as our teachers - a place to experience solace, explore physical potential and draw metaphors back to our lives at home. When we have a goal in life it can seem immense and impossible to reach, as does a mountain.  If you take one step at a time, enjoy the journey, smell the flowers, listen to your breath and climb with intention - you'll get there eventually - reaping wonderful rewards along the way.  This experience expands the horizon of what seems possible in our lives.

The retreat includes a sample Life Coaching session and two follow-up sessions.  At Mind Over Mountains, our intention is to create a relationship with you that lasts beyond the retreat itself.  We make ourselves available to continue this journey, whatever it may be for you, towards living a fulfilled and satisfied life.

Day One:
5:30 PM: Hors d’oeuvres in the Kiva Room near the pool
6:30 PM: Dinner in the Kiva Room
7:30 PM: Opening circle and introductions

Day Two:
7:00 AM: Yoga/meditation
8:00 AM: Breakfast 
9:00 AM: Workshop
Noon - Lunch at the lodge
1:00 PM: Half-day hike
5:00 PM: Treatments and Life Coaching. Personal time.
7:30 PM: Dinner

Day Three:
7:00 AM: Yoga/meditation
8:00 AM: Breakfast
9:00 AM: Rock Climbing
2:00 PM:  Solo time for reflection 
5:00 PM: Treatments and Life Coaching. Personal time.
7:30 PM: Dinner
8:30 PM: Evening program

Day Four:
7:00 AM: Breakfast
8:00 AM: Leave for our High Point hike
5:00 PM: Treatments and Life Coaching. Personal time.
7:30 PM: Dinner celebration

Day Five:
7:00 AM: Soul Dance Movement
8:00 AM: Breakfast, pack up your room.
8:45 AM: Closing reflections and feedback in the Kiva
11:00 AM: Check out of the Lodge
NOON:  Leave for the airport, please schedule your flights after 2:00 PM

Levels of Physical Difficulty:
Low Aerobic – no sitting around here, but less strenuous, low-level activity

Moderate Aerobic – half days in the mountains, short spurts of difficulty

High Aerobic – full days in the mountains, requires a good level of fitness

All activities and workshops are lead by trained leaders. No prior skills are necessary. It is our experience that all of our retreats will challenge you in some way: mentally, physically, emotionally or spiritually. We assume that you have an adventurous spirit and are yearning for more!
