We so often find ourselves immersed in the daily rhythms of life—work, family obligations, volunteer work, household activities—each with their own set of demands and frustrations that can, at times, assume seismic proportions.  We tend to focus our attention on one or two areas of our lives before we notice that something is missing.  Time drifts by unnoticeably until we encounter a moment that inspires us to re-evaluate our journey thus far.   Sound familiar?  We want to be that moment of inspiration for you, creating an opportunity to share our experiences and ideas for living a more centered life.

A Fine Balance  is about juggling the many aspects of our lives, making choices and creating a new perspective.   Enjoy activities that help you incorporate balance into your present life, whether it be yoga, rock climbing, the “log” activity or workshops that help change personal patterns. Let us create a well-balanced retreat for you so that you can go home renewed, refreshed and inspired.

A Fine Balance Sample Itinerary
Day One:
5:30 PM: Hors d’oeuvres in the Kiva Room near the pool
6:30 PM: Dinner in the Kiva Room
7:30 PM: Welcome talk and introductions

Day Two:
7:00 AM: Yoga/stretching
8:00 AM: Breakfast
9:00 AM: Meet in the Kiva Room - Workshop. Bring your journal.
NOON: Lunch at the Lodge
1:00 PM: Leave for our Half-day hike
5:00 PM: Treatments and Life Coaching. Personal time.
7:30 PM: Dinner in the Kiva

Day Three:
7:00 AM: Yoga/stretching
8:00 AM: Breakfast
9:00 AM: Rock Climbing Day - "facing fears, exploring personal limits, supporting others and having fun!"
2:00 PM: Free time to enjoy the pool and hot tubs at the lodge
7:30 PM: Dinner
8:30 PM: Evening Presentation

Day Four:
7:00 AM: Breakfast
8:00 AM: Leave for our peak climb - "setting goals and enjoying the process"
4:00 PM: Treatments and Life Coaching. Personal time.
7:30 PM: Celebration dinner

Day Five:
7:00 AM: Yoga/stretching
8:00 AM: Breakfast, pack up your room
9:00 AM: Closing reflections and feedback
11:00 AM Check out of the Lodge
NOON: Leave for the airport. Please schedule flights after 2:00 PM

Levels of Physical Difficulty:
Low Aerobic – no sitting around here, but less strenuous, low-level activity

Moderate Aerobic – half days in the mountains, short spurts of difficulty

High Aerobic – full days in the mountains, requires a good level of fitness

All activities and workshops are lead by trained leaders. No prior skills are necessary. It is our experience that all of our retreats will challenge you in some way: mentally, physically, emotionally or spiritually. We assume that you have an adventurous spirit and are yearning for more!
